Why Was My DTLR Order Canceled?
Your order may have been automatically canceled by our system for security reasons due to a mismatch in the information provided at checkout.
To help protect our customers and prevent fraudulent activity, our system verifies certain details during the order process. If any of this information does not align with what’s expected—such as address details or payment verification—your order may be canceled as a precaution.
To help avoid this issue, DTLR also offers PayPal as a guest payment option at checkout. This allows you to securely complete your purchase without entering card details directly on our site.
If your order was canceled, we recommend reviewing your checkout information or trying again using PayPal for a smoother experience.
My Billing Information Is Correct. Why Else Might My DTLR Order Have Been Canceled?
Even if your billing and payment details are accurate, your order may still be canceled due to inventory availability issues.
While we strive to maintain accurate stock levels, there are rare instances where an item may appear available at checkout but is actually out of stock or unavailable when your order is processed. In such cases, the order may be automatically canceled, and you will not be charged.

Does DTLR Charge Me If My Order Is Canceled?
If your order or an item within your order is canceled, you will not be charged.
When you place an order, a payment authorization hold is placed on your account for the full amount to verify that funds are available. You are only charged once your order ships.
If you used a debit or check card, the authorization may appear as a pending charge on your statement. These funds are typically released by your bank within 3 to 5 business days, but in some cases, it may take up to 30 days, depending on your financial institution.
If you used a credit card, the authorization hold may remain visible for up to 30 days before it is automatically removed.
If you paid with a DTLR Gift Card or Digital Gift Card, a new digital gift card will be issued to you. You’ll receive an email with a new code within 2 business days of the cancellation.

Note: International credit/debit cards are not accepted.
Why do I see more than one charge on my account?
You may notice multiple charges on your account if your order contains multiple items. While we aim to ship everything together, sometimes items are fulfilled from different DTLR locations due to inventory availability.
Here’s how it works:
- When you place an order, your bank may show a temporary authorization hold for the full amount. This is not an actual charge.
- DTLR only captures funds when each item ships. If your order ships in multiple parts, you may see separate charges appear at different times.
- Rest assured, DTLR will never charge more than the total amount authorized at checkout.
If your order is canceled, the authorization hold will be released by your bank—timing may vary depending on your financial institution.
How do I remove a hold from my account?
When an order is shipped or canceled, DTLR notifies your financial institution to have the hold removed from your account. DTLR Customer Support is unable to remove authorization holds for you.
Most holds expire within 3-5 business days, but it could take up to 30 days for the hold to be removed.
What is your price match policy?
If you purchased at DTLR.com and you’ve found the same item in stock at DTLR.com at a lower price within 10 days of your order date, you may contact customer service to request a price match.
Note: We do not match DTLR retail locations or competitor pricing.
How is sales tax calculated?
Sales tax will be charged in accordance with applicable state and local laws. All taxes collected by Hibbett are remitted to the proper taxing jurisdictions.
Taxes indicated on your order confirmation are only an estimate. Actual tax due will be charged at the time of shipment based upon applicable state and local sales tax law. Orders may be fulfilled from multiple locations across the U.S.
Generally, the tax due on your transaction is based on the state laws of the delivery location.
In states with origin-based tax laws, the tax due on your transaction is based on the fulfillment location that shipped your order, instead of your delivery location. These states include Arizona, California, Illinois, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia.
For states imposing sales or use taxes, your purchase may be subject to use tax unless it is specifically exempt from taxation. Your purchase is not exempt merely because it is made over the Internet, nor is it exempt merely because Hibbett did not charge tax. Many states require purchasers to report taxable purchases not taxed and to pay taxes on those purchases. Details of how to do so may be found on the websites of your respective taxing authorities.
