The Air Jordan 3 Retro “Midnight Navy” Drops Soon

In 2021, Jordan Brand rolled out a “Midnight Navy” Air Jordan 3 Retro inspired by the team Michael Jordan’s Tar Heels bested in the 1982 NCAA National Championship Game, the Georgetown Hoyas. Whether this was a cheeky jab or a sign of respect is up for debate, but regardless, Jordan’s team will be releasing a new “Midnight Navy” Air Jordan 3 in the coming weeks.

Aptly dubbed the Air Jordan 3 Retro “Midnight Navy,” this new take on the heritage basketball model follows the “Fire Red” blueprint – rich white leather serves as the sneaker’s upper, while “Midnight Navy” accents appear sparingly on the eyestays, ankle collars, and midsoles. Elephant-print mudguards and heel panels call back to the original Air Jordan 3, while Jumpman emblems on the tongues and heels round out the upper.

Down below, the sneaker opts for “Midnight Navy” foam midsole units, which house the model’s signature Air cushioning system in the heels. “Cement Grey” rubber outsoles tie everything together with a neatly wrapped bow.
