Set to Drop: Nike Space Hippie 04

Nike’s Space Hippie collection has quickly become a fan favorite as the first few releases have flown off our shelves. If you’re not familiar with the new collection, according to Nike’s website “it’s inspired by life on Mars- where materials are scarce and there is no resupply mission. Created from scraps, or “space junk”, Space Hippie is the result of sustainable practices meeting radical design”. The latest collection marks the 4th set of releases in the Space Hippie collection, also known as Space Hippie 04, and drops September 20th in a tan and blue colorway.

Behind the Design

Out of the gate, it’s hard not to notice the thick Baby-Blue recycled midsoles that proudly showcase specs of recycled materials. The knitted uppers take on several shades of Tan with darker Tan comprising most of the uppers contrasted by Sand laces and pull tab. You’ll find “NIKE” stitched in a Sand thread on the back of the pull tab which adds a nice touch without being too loud. Royal Blue swooshes throughout the shoe add a pop of color to complete the look.

As I mentioned before, the Space Hippie collection goes fast. If these are on your radar you won’t want to sleep on this release.
