Set to Drop: Nike Blazer Mid '77 Rayguns

Get ready to lace up like Dr. Funk as Nike pays another tribute to the fictional basketball team, the Roswell Rayguns. We’ve seen Nike’s SB division pay homage twice now to the team with inspired SB Dunks, but now it’s time for Nike Basketball to have some fun. The Blazer Mid is the latest sneaker to get the Roswell treatment.
The Blazer Mid ’77 Rayguns is simple, yet full of details. The uppers are comprised of White leather with just a touch of Grey nubuck around the toe. Outside of that, the rest of the shoe is full of subtle color details. The stitching can’t be missed as the stitching throughout the entire sneaker resembles the famous Golden Yellow color of the Rayguns. The same Golden Yellow is used on the lateral Swoosh and tongue. I simply can’t just mention the swoosh without talking about the fact that the Golden Yellow swoosh is filled with small sequins that certainly stand out. On the contrary, the swoosh on the inside of the foot is Green leather without the bedazzle. Finishing off the shoe, the signature Green and Gold basketball logo is found towards the heal and NIKE stitched in White is atop a Raygun Orange heal. The creamy white midsole and sole give the sneaker that full throwback vibe to complete the look.
