Will the Real Air Jordan 4 Retro “Black Canvas” Please Stand Up?

If you’re into collecting rare sneakers, there’s a good chance you’ve heard of the Eminem x Carhartt Air Jordan 4. The collaborative colorway, which boasts bold Eminem logos on the heel tabs, was released via a charity auction in 2015 and only a scant 10 pairs were made available. Due to its rarity, the Eminem x Carhartt Air Jordan 4 fetches astronomical prices on the secondary market, making it almost impossible for the average sneaker enthusiast to acquire a pair.

In early October, Jordan Brand is slated to release a new version of the Air Jordan 4 that bears a striking resemblance to Slim Shady’s hyper-rare pair.

The upcoming Air Jordan 4 Retro “Black Canvas” comes covered in – you guessed it – black canvas, which is used for majority of the upper, save for the suede mudguards. Side-panel windows feature the model’s signature TPU netting in black, which also graces the lower portions of the tongues. The silhouette’s famed “wings” are also done in black and connect to “Light Steel Grey” TPU eyelets.

As far as branding goes, the Air Jordan 4 “Black Canvas” features Jumpman and Flight logos on its tongue tabs, as well as Jumpman logos on its heels.

The sneaker features foam midsoles, which are done in a split black-and-white scheme and house visible Max Air units in the heels. “Light Steel Grey” rubber outsole units complete the look.

The Air Jordan 4 Retro “Black Canvas” will be available on DTLR.com and DTLR stores on October 1st in men’s and grade-school sizes.
