It’s been called the “Lost & Found,” “Reimagined,” and “Chicago,” but regardless of its appointed moniker, it’s sure to be in contention for sneaker of the year. This new take on the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG’s original colorway celebrates the thrill of scoring a vintage grail and is set to land later this month.
Officially dubbed the Air Jordan 1 “Chicago” via Jordan Brand, this upcoming release puts a twist on the classic colorway with cracked-leather accents on the toeboxes, side panels, and ankle collars, which give the sneaker an aged look. Black Swoosh overlays, Nike Air–branded tongue tabs, and embossed Wings logos round out the upper.
Rubber midsole units, which are done in a vintage-inspired “Sail” color, and aged “Varsity Red” rubber outsoles add to the overall effect.
The sneaker’s story doesn’t end with the silhouette itself – the release comes packaged in a weathered box with a mismatched top and features an “old, handwritten” receipt from Sandy Bros. Sports Depot.
