Published:January 16, 2018
For another episode of UNBOXED, the VILLA team caught up with @munch215 (cohosting alongside office celebrity P-Worm) to discuss his top 5 favorite Air Jordan 1s!
Top 5
1. Jordan 1 Retro 'Black Toe'
- You think you've seen this sneaker before but you no idea. Familiar to other colorways but standing alone, the Air Jordan 1 Retro "Bred" combines an OG colorway with an OG silhouette for the first time ever. Remastered in a unique way, you'll want to deposit this exclusive shoe into your closet.
2. Jordan 1 Retro 'OFF-White'
- This collaboration hit the market later this year and became an instant sell-out! Off-White designer and founder, Virgil Abloh, is all about expression and altering a product. “The Air Force 1 isn’t iconic in just any color, they’re iconic in one: white. White is the theme for this third Air Force 1, looking at the cultural context of the white on white — editing it, but not editing it too far to where it becomes something else.”
3. Jordan 1 Retro 'Royal'
- The incredible Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG 'Royal' is an original color way of MJ's first signature shoe. Like the Remastered “Banned” release, this 2017 retro receives an upgrade in regards to the quality of materials used and its shape, which is truer to the actual 1985 release. The Varsity Royal blue paneling appears in tumbled leather on the toe box, Swooshes, heel, and ankle. Black premium leather colors the remainder of the upper to complete the classic color blocking. A clean white midsole balances out the shoe, maintaining the iconic motif along with the Varsity Royal outsole.
4. Jordan 1 Retro 'Fragment'
- In 2015 Hiroshi Fujiwara’s renowned fragment design label got their very own edition of the Air Jordan 1, based of the colorway of an original unreleased sample. Basically the OG “Black Toe” and “Royal” colorways put together, the appealing look for the Air Jordan 1 was released in very limited quantities, and is now one of the most sought after versions of the silhouette ever.
5. Jordan 1 Retro 'Bred'
