The Air Jordan 5 Retro “Burgundy” is Coming Back

For years, Jordan collectors have pleaded for the sportswear brand to rerelease the coveted “Burgundy” Air Jordan 5 Retro. And later this month, they’re finally going to get it.

The Air Jordan 5 Retro “Burgundy” was initially released in 2006 as an LS or Lifestyle colorway – a departure from the model’s original color schemes, more in-line with the styles of its era. It features a lush “Burgundy” nubuck upper, broken up by semi-translucent TPU mesh netting on the quarter panels and lowermost tongues. Jumpman logos appear on the heels, as well as the reflective 3M tongues. “Light Graphite” sockliners and laces round out the upper.

Underneath, the sneaker features “Burgundy” foam midsole units with visible Max Air windows in the heels. Speckled “Light Graphite” shark-teeth accents break up the tonal look, while icy, semi-translucent rubber outsoles tie back to the mesh on the quarter panels.

You’re not going to want to miss out on this release. The Air Jordan 5 Retro “Burgundy” will be available Tuesday, August 29th, on DTLR.com and at DTLR stores. The sneaker will be available in full-family sizing.
