Sometimes More Is More: Nike Air Max 95 Big Bubble “Greedy”

Restraint was never part of the Air Max 95’s DNA. The silhouette arrived with exposed cushioning, layered construction, and a shape modeled after the human body – hardly the blueprint for blending in. The upcoming Nike Air Max 95 Big Bubble “Greedy” pushes that expressive streak even further, assembling a greatest-hits mix of colors into one deliberately mismatched pair.

The ever-popular “Greedy” concept treats the sneaker like a wearable Air Max archive. Instead of committing to a single colorway, this edition borrows from several recognizable palettes and lets them compete for attention. One side leans into cool grey gradients with flashes of neon, while another introduces black mesh, red, aqua, orange, and deep purple. Even the tongues, lace loops, embroidered Swooshes, and Air units switch colors from one angle to the next.

Beneath the color mash-up sits the unmistakable framework of Sergio Lozano’s original 1995 design. Wavy side panels create the shoe’s signature muscle-fiber effect, while the lace loops rise like ribs over breathable mesh. Dark mudguards and black midsoles ground the competing colors, giving the pair just enough consistency to hold the entire composition together.

The “Big Bubble” build adds another layer of nostalgia. An enlarged visible Air unit in the heel restores the bold cushioning profile associated with early versions of the Air Max 95, while additional Air windows in the forefoot keep the technology on full display.

Need a pair? The Nike Air Max 95 Big Bubble “Greedy” will be available on Tuesday, September 1st, in-store and online at DTLR.com in men’s sizing.
