Sneaker of the Week - Puma Thunder Desert
Published:October 08, 2018
Growing up, sneakerheads would make fun of any classmate who decided to wear dad sneakers to school. If you didn’t have a Nike check or a Jump man logo on the side of your kicks, you were running the potential risk of being laughed at. Today, the dad sneaker managed to be the latest fashion choice for its bulky exterior and comfortable fit. With lifestyle wear taking over the industry, Puma is dropping the Thunder Desert to bring a quiet storm that will instantly heat up the summer.
Little details make a big difference when it comes to the appeal of a shoe. To match the shoe title, Puma’s Thunder Desert has a bright white upper that reminds me of soft sand. Wavy stitching is weaved intricately throughout the shoe, moving high and low like Sahara hills. The signature Puma logo is muted to blend in with the nude colorway. In case you didn’t recognize the logo stitched in the same pattern, they stamped their name on the back of each heel. White highlights are shown by adding the clean shoelaces, and white accents in the infused bottom sole.
