Set to Drop: Air Jordan Retro 13 "Lucky Green"

With 2,973 career three-pointers, Ray Allen holds the current record for most three-pointers ever made in the NBA. He’s held this record for close to 7 years now and in fact, no one is even close. Reggie Miller is the closest player to his record, but still needs over 400 threes. I doubt Reggie is coming out of a 15-year long retirement anytime soon to knock down 400 threes. During his career Ray spent a lot of time as a Jordan Brand athlete which is why the latest Air Jordan 13 Retro “Lucky Green” is a hat tip to the record holder.

Behind the Design

Designed after a panther, the 13’s are one of my favorite Air Jordans. The subtle design details like the dimples for whiskers, the eye-like hologram on the back heal, and the iconic midsole pods are just a few of my favorite details. Alright, enough with the romantic novel, let’s break down this shoe.

Behind the Colorway

The Air Jordan 13 Retro “Lucky Green” is a clean colorway that lets the green do all the talking. White dimpled leather uppers, toe box, and tongue all set the clean tone. Lucky Celtics Green Suede flows from heal to the toe in true Air Jordan 13 fashion. As mentioned earlier, the iconic hologram is found at the heal making sure your opponent knows that you’re always watching. Black midsole pods and sock liner both complete the look and add a nice contrast against the White and Lucky Green. Underneath you’ll find a mix of Black, White, and Lucky Green for traction along with a carbon fiber reinforcement plate.

Overall, the Air Jordan 13 Retro “Lucky Green” introduces a nice colorway update to a classic Jordan design. Start crossing your fingers, looking for a 3 leaf clover, and rubbing your rabbit’s foot to build up your luck for this drop.

The Air Jordan 13 Retro "Lucky Green" release on September 26, 2020, and retail for $190 USD both in stores and online at DTLR.com
