Set to Drop: Air Jordan Retro 12 "FIBA"

An ode to the international FIBA Basketball World Cup tournament.
Jordan is back for another iteration of the Air Jordan 12, this time honoring the FIBA Basketball World Cup. Founded in 1950, the tournament has been around for decades with nationalities from all over being represented. Unsurprisingly, the United States Men's team has been very successful in the tournament. They aim to repeat as champions for the 6th time.
The FIBA World Cup is to be played across the globe in China. Reminiscent of the Chinese flag and the culture, regal metallic gold pops out from the top two lace loops and the middle panels, while bright red details the tongue and sockliner. All of these accents are brought together by a crisp white tumbled leather base, which features a subtle tonal flag print on the mudguard. Gold Chinese characters embellish the red heel tab. An outsole with a black/red carbon fiber midfoot plate completes the sneaker.
