Set to Drop: Adidas Yeezy 350 v2 "Earth"
Published:February 18, 2020
It’s hard to believe that one of the industry’s most lucrative lines of sneakers isn’t due to an athlete’s endorsement. In fact, if you were to ask me twenty years ago if a musical artist would ever be atop the sneaker bankroll, I would have said no way. Sure, it seemed logical as sneakers and hip hop go hand-in-hand, but large sums of money and your own sneaker line were historically reserved exclusively for big-name athletes. That all changed in 2009 when Kayne inked a deal with Nike and then flipped the sneaker world upside down in 2013 when he announced a new partnership with Adidas. The first Adidas Yeezy released in 2015 and has gone on to become one of the most influential collaborations in history.
Continuing their legacy as the best-selling Yeezy model, the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 v2 is back again with another release. The “Earth” colorway will release on Feb 22nd and is the most neutral pair of a trio of Yeezys to be releasing. However, the Earths are the only pair releasing stateside.
It’s easy to see why these are labeled “Earth” as the entire shoe showcases an earth tone colorway. The uppers feature Adidas’ signature Primeknit material and boast a solid tan color with a slightly darker accented stripe. The famous ribbed midsoles are a mustard brown, and of course, contain Adidas’ boost material for a cushion. Rounding out the entire look are grey beige soles.
There are two big changes that make this release different from the other 350 v2’s. One, the heel tab is back which will make most Yeezy fans happy as it’s a popular design element that has disappeared. The second, 3M reflective is only used on the side stripe rather than on the entire shoe.
The Yeezy Boost 350 v2 “Earth” will be available online and in select stores (listed below) on February 22, 2020. The online raffle is now open until Friday, February 21, 2020, at 12:00 pm. Enter Here
