Set to Dop: Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Carbon"

Without a doubt the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 has been one of the most successful sneakers for Adidas in recent years. When you mix a modern casual design with extreme comfort and back it with a high profile music professional like Kayne West, you’ve got the makings of a winning formula. Oddly enough, rumors have been floating around the internet for months that Adidas wants to move away from the 350s and focus more on the 380’s, however with several upcoming fall 350 releases including the Carbons featured in this blog, it sounds like they aren’t walking away just yet.

The latest Adidas Boost 350 V2 known as the “Carbons” stay true to the usual 350 template. The knitted uppers are woven together using black and grey thread in various patterns which adds a decent amount of character to this more basic colorway. Tightly woven in black and grey thread, the infamous lateral stripe almost takes on the look of carbon fiber. Perhaps this is the inspiration behind the “Carbon” name. Black laces and sock liner blend in nicely with the rest of the look, however without the presence of a heel tab. The midsole, as you would expect from a Boost 350 V2, shows off the usual translucent gum-yellow coloring giving the sneaker somewhat of a vintage feel.

Love him or hate him, Kayne’s sneakers always deliver and do not sit on our shelves very long.

The Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Carbon" release on October 2, 2020, and retail for $220 USD both in stores and online at DTLR.com
