Industry innovator, family man, and serial entrepreneur, Samir Hamid, is the founder of F4mily Matters, a community-driven streetwear label and the CEO of PrintBliss, a membership-driven garment printing company. As a visionary and businessman of nearly 20 years, Samir has found success in challenging dated notions of workplace productivity while replacing them with an intentional approach that prioritizes people over profit. Modeling work-life balance while giving his team the flexibility to do the same, Samir shares the vision for his life and aspiration for his staff is to not have to feel the pressure of working a 9 to 5. He desires for them to have the freedom to spend time with their family or take time off to recenter– this leadership style that has earned him respect while contributing to the sustainability of his companies.

A Charlotte native and committed member of its creative community, Samir diligently invests time and resources to develop platforms and opportunities for artists to thrive. Just as proud of his Charlotte heritage as his family name and Palestinian roots, the socially conscious leader founded the AMCS Bodega in 2012. The arts festival succeeded at increasing support for Charlotte’s local talent and maintained a 5 year run of sold out shows. “...At the end of the day if a creative can’t be full-time in their craft, we’re always going to be getting part-time work. I want to create an environment in Charlotte where we can allow creatives to work full-time in their craft, and that way, we can really start to see our creative culture blossom...That is my metric of success for Charlotte– how many full-time creatives can we develop.”

Recognized for his support of what is ethical, Samir’s advocacy extends beyond the creative community, city of Charlotte, and United States border. As a founding member of Charlotte United for Palestine, the humanitarian raises awareness of the conflict occurring in Palestine while aiming to deliver overseas aid.
