Ready for Takeoff: Women’s Air Jordan 5 Retro “Dunk on Mars”

Ever wonder what it’d be like to walk on Mars? Well, if the name of Jordan Brand’s latest Air Jordan 5 Retro is any indication, you’ll find out soon enough. Dubbed “Dunk on Mars,” this new take on the MJ’s fifth signature model is set to touch down later this month in women’s sizing.

This new colorway is done in premium suede, which has been given an extraterrestrial “Martian Sunrise” finish. Tonal “23” embroidery lands on the sneaker’s lateral heels, while black Jumpman emblems brand the backside. From there, milky TPU mesh accents dress the quarter-panel windows and lower tongues – that same semi-translucent finish is used for the lace locks. Reflective tongues with embroidered Jumpman logos round out the upper’s design.

The upper sits atop black foam midsole units that feature the silhouette’s signature spiky pattern. Visible Air units provide additional cushioning, while milky, semi-translucent rubber outsoles provide traction.

The Air Jordan 5 Retro “Dunk on Mars” is set to launch on DTLR.com and DTLR stores on January 14^th in women’s sizing. Retail is set at $200.
