New Name, Same Story: Air Jordan 4 Retro “Industrial Blue”

For years, Jordan fanatics have been clamoring for an Air Jordan 4 “Military Blue” rerelease – and they’re finally about to get one later this month, albeit with a different name.

This white-and-blue colorway was originally released back in 1989 alongside classics like the “Black Cement,” “White Cement,” and “Fire Red.” It was the odd man out of the original launch lineup due to its distinct lack of Chicago Bulls colors, which were heavily featured on the other three. For that, the unique colorway holds a special place in the hearts of collectors and sneaker-wearers worldwide.

The colorway was last released in 2012, though it lacked the bells and whistles that made the original so special. That’s not the case with the upcoming Air Jordan 4 Retro “Industrial Blue,” which is the closest thing to the ’89 release by a country mile.

With a sleeker shape that’s more akin to the ’89 OG, the upcoming Air Jordan 4 Retro “Industrial Blue” features a white leather upper with “Neutral Grey” suede overlays. The titular “Industrial Blue” tone colors the eyestays, foam midsole units, and TPU heel tabs. Those heel tabs display signature Nike Air logos, while the padded tongues boast Jumpman Flight tags.

Will you be looking to cop? The Air Jordan 4 Retro “Industrial Blue” will be available on Saturday, May 4th, in-store and online at DTLR.com in full-family sizing.
