Jaden Smith and New Balance set to drop latest Vision Racer

Jaden Smith is an early adopter when it comes to his environmentally conscious ventures and fashion-forward appearance. Staying true to his peculiar yet going green roots, he spearheaded a lot of his business goals with these two principles in mind to make his impact on the world. For example, Jaden Smith truly loved the New Balance brand and became a fan. His affection for the company and global popularity landed him an opportunity to design his very own model. The VISION RACER was a creative blend of iconic models with new wave ideas wrapped into one. Keeping true to his going green mission, materials to make the shoe had recycled parts that manufactured such resources while not having to sacrifice style in the process. As you can imagine, this was an instant success or we wouldn’t be anticipating his next model.

Previous colorways were infectious at sight due to their exotic color pallet. This time around, Jaden’s typical bright vibe is taking a backseat to pay homage instead. For the first time, the VISION RACER is taking on the classic color of “Heritage Grey” notoriously made by New Balance. This smooth shade of grade is smooth at the look and touch on the silhouette. Reflective strips subtly curving around the shoe are different in style, but familiar to anyone who is an avid fan. The upper is reminiscent by keeping it simple with muted blocking throughout. The only difference is that the upper is leather with suede overlays instead.

Those vertical pull tabs with continued branding further remind the wearer to have a vision as you wear the shoe. Immediately below is the chunky midsole that is inches above its predecessors in height. This solid spark of white contrast fits the classic model to the T. Directly below is a semi-translucent sole topped off with an icy finish. Sight is reminded with the “Do you see it?” text written in fluorescent pink lettering. Along the quarter is a double stitched “N” emblem made in white with black bold bordering. This statement-making flair makes its biggest announcement by stamping (VISION RACER) at the bottom of the outsole.
