Dropping Soon: DTLR x PUMA Cell Speed “Turbo”

This one’s for the speedsters – the ones behind the wheel and those wheeling and dealing in the streets. For their latest collaborative connection, DTLR and sportswear giant PUMA cooked a new take on the Cell Speed inspired by gumbo racing culture. 

Dubbed the “Turbo,” this project embodies the “Forever Faster” mindset PUMA preaches. The upper is crafted from light grey suede and breathable mesh. The neutral base is given pops of primary colors on the eyestays, tongue labels, and pull-tabs. Black carbon fiber–inspired Formstrip overlays land on the quarter panels – they’re covered with bold “PUMA” logo decals and smoky translucent synthetic panels.

Under the hood, the PUMA x DTLR Cell Speed “Turbo” boasts black and white EVA foam midsoles with bright pops of blue, red, and yellow. The sneaker’s proprietary Cell technology is visible through the windows in the heels. Everything sits atop sturdy rubber outsole units done in a split black-yellow-and-red scheme.
