DTLR Launches Wheelie & Swerve Community Competition in Baltimore

Baltimore’s bike culture continues to grow, and DTLR is proud to be part of its momentum. This summer, we partnered with the Mayor’s Office of Youth Engagement to host the first-ever Wheelie & Swerve Community Competition, creating a safe and positive space for young riders to showcase their skills.

The event gave youth an opportunity to bring their passion for biking into a supportive environment, where they could compete for prizes and, more importantly, gain recognition for their talent. From sharp swerves to perfectly balanced wheelies, the competition highlighted the creativity and athleticism within Baltimore’s vibrant bike scene.

Families and community members gathered to cheer on the riders, turning the event into a celebration of talent, community, and culture. The overwhelming support showed just how meaningful events like this are for the city’s youth.

This competition is just the beginning. With such a positive response from participants and their families, DTLR plans to continue building on this success and expanding opportunities for young bikers to ride, compete, and shine.
