An OG Twist in the Jordan Retro 13 "Flint Red"
Published:April 30, 2021
The Air Jordan 13’s are one of my favorite Jordans in the entire signature lineup. Tinker Hatfield just knows how to design a sneaker. From the overall shape to the small details hidden in the shoe, the 13’s pack in so much storytelling through design which is why I personally love them. The Air Jordan 13’s are back again with a new twist to an OG colorway.
Behind the Design
Similar to the OG Flints, the “Red Flints” have a very similar color layout. Immediately your eyes are drawn to the Gym Red uppers and like most of the 13’s, the uppers feature a reflective almost mesh-like material covered in dimples. Flint Grey is used to cool off the Gym Red starting from the heal and running to the midfoot which provides a nice contrast. Moving forward from there, the tumbled leather toe box and tongue are both White. The pods as I like to call them are also White. You’ll still find the same details on this pair as you would all other 13’s which include the hologram on the back heel and the jeweled logo on the bottom. A Black stitched Jumpman is featured on the tongue for a clean finish. This is the pair that you didn’t know you needed until you saw them. They are one clean pair of 13’s, in my opinion.
