adidas and Pharrell Link Up on New “Animal Print” Hu NMD

The partnership between Pharrell Williams and adidas has been going strong since the multi-hyphenate artist signed with the sportswear juggernaut back in 2014. During that time, the dynamic duo collaborated on several all-time adidas models, including the Superstar, Stan Smith, and Samba.

In 2015, adidas and Pharrell unveiled a new model, dubbed the adidas Hu NMD – and it was a major success. And though it’s been a lifetime (in sneaker years) since the silhouette's initial launch, it’s still going strong to this day.

Now, in 2022, Pharrell and adidas are gearing up to launch the latest colorway of the Hu NMD, which is set to land in early December. This pair features a stretchy Primeknit upper done in a smokey “Ash” grey. Instead of the embroidered lettering that’s typically found on the Hu NMD, this new pair opts for embroidered animal-print details, which cover a majority of the upper. Reflective rope laces and semi-translucent TPU midfoot cages tie everything together.

Down below, the sneaker features a grey BOOST midsole and semi-translucent TPU blocks on the lateral and medial sides. A black rubber outsole completes the look.

Looking to grab a pair? The adidas Hu NMD “Animal Print” will be available on DTLR.com and DTLR stores on December 1st for a retail price of $220.
