Published:April 17, 2021
There’s some iconic about the original that can never be duplicated. It’s especially hard when one of the greatest (if not the greatest) players of all time is flying in the ‘AIR’ with a pair of banned Nikes. History made in the Red/Black colorway instantly turned Michael Jordan into “Air Jordan” literally overnight. Fast forward to today, AJ1’s have become the most coveted number out of the collection. Sneaker-heads just can’t get enough of the classic design no matter the colorway. With the Brand Jordan Spring line up for 2021 preparing to drop more heat, there’s a cold front coming that has made this originally Red shoe turn “Hyper Blue”.
All over the internet and social sites, kick connoisseurs are impatiently awaiting the release of the “Hyper Blue” colorway to make its debut. Earlier in March, the “University Blue” Retro 1’s were the school of hardwood that played as the first release within this color family this year. Next, that is slated for an April release is the “Hyper Blue” colorway that is dressed up in a Royal Blue, White, and Light Smoke Grey color scheme. Keeping it clean, the White leather base is underneath the Royal Blue suede overlays on top. Shimmering in the Grey ‘Swoosh’ logo seen on the quarter and ankle collar. The lining inside of the shoe followed suit, contrasting well with the acid wash finish outside. Directly below is a crispy White midsole with a Royal Blue rubber outsole that is fit for a King or Queen. Dotted perforated vents and Blue stitching kept its consistency, while ‘Nike Air’ on the front tongue and insoles stamping the brand. Overall, this cool rendition of a Red hot classic is perfect for your feet to wear this Spring.
